Dedicated Events Manager Joins the Team at the Colony Wilmslow

Clare Venables has joined the team at The HQ at The Colony in Wilmslow as Events Manager.

Clare joins from the Mercure, Manchester where she was conference and events sales manager.  She was previously an events manager at Q Hotels’ Crewe Hall and The Midland in Manchester.  Clare brings many years of experience in dedicated events management covering weddings, parties and corporate events from large conferences to award ceremonies and product launches.

The HQ at The Colony, Wilmslow opened its doors earlier this summer offering an exclusive private business members club to the international and local business community.  As well as a stunning location to do business on the edge of the Cheshire countryside, The HQ offers over 3,000 sq ft of flexible event space.  From weddings, private dinners, product launches through to client drinks receptions or team building days, it is a stylish venue that can be adapted to suit a full range of events.

Its location, minutes away from Wilmslow and Manchester airport means The HQ is in easy reach of Manchester city centre making it an ideal venue for guests from across the region or beyond.

Commenting on her new position at The HQ, Clare said: “When I arrived at the HQ at The Colony I knew it could give me the challenge I was looking for. It’s a brand new space with a whole heap of potential. Being an independent set-up makes it feel more personal and the team is eager to create some stunning events.

“Events will often have exclusive use of the venue, which gives it the edge over a lot of other options in and around Cheshire. I am excited to be part of the team to help build the HQ as a go-to venue for both private and corporate events.”

The HQ can cater for 50 people for a private dinner or seated event and up to 250 guests in its stunning contemporary bar and lounge for a drinks reception or launch party. There is also a private outside terrace which features plenty of comfortable outdoor seating with heating for guests to view the beautiful Cheshire rural setting well into the evening.

For those looking for a wedding venue, the HQ’s manicured lawns offer the perfect spot for a marquee (up to 250 guests). If you want your guests to arrive in style, The HQ even has its own private helipad.
